Nick Farraway Joins Optrical as a Non-Executive Board Director

Optrical, a leading developer of advanced micro-optic films, announced today the appointment
of LED lighting industry veteran Nick Farraway on its Board of Directors.

For over 40 years Nick Farraway has been a high-profile lighting professional and Managing
Director successfully running and turning around international lighting businesses. Well-known for his time at industry giants such as Thorn, Zumtobel and Sylvania Lighting, Nick has also built up and grown high tech start-ups such as Soraa and Cree, served as President of the UK Lighting Industry Federation (now LIA), and been a member of the European Lighting Group. Nick has also supported and helped develop various start-up technology businesses in a Non-Executive Director/Advisory capacity.

Known for his hands-on management style and focused attitude he has experienced direct
success in many Internationally recognised projects such as Wembley Stadium, Heathrow
Terminal 5, as well as other large infrastructure projects worldwide. Uniquely, Nick has a deep knowledge of successfully operating LED Lighting manufacturing businesses, paired with a clear understanding of market requirements, that has enabled him to consistently turn around and improve the performance of the companies he has managed.
